Story
Hi there!
My first experience of bowel cancer was when my grandmother passed away due to it in the 1970s and then when my mother passed away from it in 2000. I was first diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2017, underwent surgery and 6 months of chemo. Fast forward to late 2020 and two tumours were identified on a kidney and some lymph glands next to the aorta. They were identified as being related to the original bowel cancer. Another round of surgery in March 2021, followed by more chemo. Then following some scans related to an aortic dissection with related surgeries in September, they picked up two spots on my liver. Again, bowel cancer related, so am now facing my third round of bowel cancer related surgery later this year.
So, as a result, I'm trying to make a difference by fundraising for a cause that's obviously close to my heart. Please support my efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.
